Support Services Float

- 1-2 yrs experience preferred
Position Summary
The Support Service Float is responsible for stocking supplies in nursing areas on a daily basis; checks for outdates or loss of package integrity of stored items; fills stock requests from departments; delivers goods received to various departments; receives goods delivered and prepares necessary documents; replenishes stock on shelves; places orders with vendors as requested by Materials Management Coordinator; types purchase orders into computer and sends electronic orders by computer; prepares mail; runs printing press and folder to make forms.
In addition to Materials Management duties, runs Cafeteria register during Breakfast and Lunch. Maintains stock in the cafeteria and vending machines.
Must possess a valid driver???s license
High School Graduate or equivalent GED
Ability to perform basic math functions
Ability to perform basic computer functions, specifically in Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer
Able to price stock items
English speaking and writing skills required / preferred
Essential Functions of the Job
Required skills and competencies. Has competency checklist been completed with all competencies met (i.e. job skills/ knowledge, equipment knowledge).
Restock nursing units to par level.
Restock Operating Room cart to par level.
Fill stock requests within 2 hours.
Receive goods and reconcile with purchase orders same day.
Prepare goods for stickering, dating, and restock shelves within 24 hours.
Deliver received goods to departments same day goods are received.
Prepare mail for delivery to post office before end of workday.
Check all normal stock areas for outdates and loss of sterility. Assure outdates are removed from stock and reordered.
Determine purchase requirements and order goods to maintain stock levels at 80% par. No more than 3 stock outs per week.
Runs register in the Getaway Caf?? during busy times (7:30 am- 9 am), (11:30 pm-1:15 pm).
Stocks Vending Machines, Dessert rack, chip rack, and Refrigerator twice a day in the Dietary area.
Notify Chef of the food required for stocking Vending Machines, salad bar, and refrigerated items.
Knows contracts, which apply to Weeks Medical Center and chooses vendors which maintain contract compliancy as directed by Materials Management Coordinator.
Assist Materials Management Coordinator and/or Buyer in research for equipment purchases.
Send all electrically operated equipment directly to maintenance for testing.
Manages time effectively to ensure that deadlines are met and that personal priorities support organizational objectives.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
